Etwall Primary School Parent Teacher And Friends AssociationEtwall PTFA

The Etwall Primary School Parents Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) is the fund raising group for the primary school. Our aim is to supplement the school both socially and financially.

We hold a number of school fund raising events, including the village fireworks display and the Etwall family music festival. We also receive funding from our clothing recycling bank positioned in the car park near the school and we hold our own lottery with a chance to win £25,000 each week. More details here.

All the money raised is used to support the children of the school. In recent years a full refurbishment of the swimming pool was completed. We have also invested in creating an outdoor learning area which includes a wild meadow, pond regeneration and outdoor seating area. We also fund many workshops during the school year to bring the school topics to life, including children author visits, anti-bullying workshop, St John first aid courses, Planetarium, Wild Science, to name a few.

We also provide some fun elements. We have funded a climbing wall, an outdoor trim trail, an outdoor table tennis table, games for when the children are stuck inside because of the weather, subsidised school trips and school leavers T shirts.

Etwall Cricket ClubEtwall Cricket Club

Etwall Cricket Club was formed in 1858 and has been based at the current ground since 1882.

We have a thriving junior section with over 60 members and run the ECB Allstars programme with over 65 children participating this year.

Our aim is to develop the children in a safe and fun environment.

We run four junior teams from the soft ball version of the game “Kwik Cricket” for the younger members, to the hard ball U11’s, U13’s and U15’s teams.

We also run two friendly sides to help with the transition from the junior to the senior game.

Over the last few years a number of our junior players have been selected to represent our county teams.

The club has been awarded the ECB Club Mark accreditation. This sets the standard for coaching and children welfare throughout the junior section.

Hardball training starts in January Kwik Cricket training starts in May
